VCAN 3rd Annual Community BBQ

That’s the spirit behind VCAN’s Community BBQ, happening Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 12 PM to 5 PM at Clairton Park Lounge in the heart of the Mon Valley.

This isn’t just a cookout. It’s a gathering of people who believe in standing up for their right to breathe clean air, live in healthy neighborhoods, and celebrate the power of unity. We’ll be bringing the smoke in the best way with beef ribs, jerk chicken, baked beans, potato salad, and more, all free and made with love. There’ll be music to move your feet, prizes that lift your spirits, and a $300 Cornhole Tournament to heat things.

For the kids, the first 50 swim free at Clairton Pool. For the families, we’ll be giving away free portable air purifiers to help protect what matters most, your health and your home.

Hosted by Valley Clean Air Now (VCAN), this day is about more than fun. It’s about reclaiming joy, reclaiming public space, and reminding each other what’s possible when we come together. Because when we organize, we don’t just resist, we build.
